Thusharagiri
Thusharagiri is a beautiful waterfall in Kozhikode distrct of Kerala. The word Thusharagiri means the snow-capped mountain. Thusharagiri has three waterfalls, which are justfew meters away from the entrance. Erattumukku waterfall is at a distance of 100 meters, Mazhavil waterfall at a distance of 500 meters and Thumbithullum para waterfalls at a distance of 1 kilometer.
Two streams originating from the Western Ghats meet here to form the Chalippuzha River. The the river split and cascade down as three separate yet adjacent waterfalls, creating a snowy spray, which gives the name, ‘Thusharagiri’.
Specialty of Thusharagiri
The specialty of Thusharagiri is the three adjacent beautiful waterfalls, which gives immense pleasure for the minds of the visitors. One of the best place for trekking enthusiasts. When you start trekking to the forest, the Erattumukku water falls welcomes you with its music. Near to this waterfall, another attraction is a big Tanni Maram (Terminalia bellirica). A very big tree, with a whole on it where 4 or 5 people can stand (A very good place for selfie).
This a perfect place for nature lovers, wild life enthusiasts and bird watchers. Here mostly you can see elephants and wild wild buffalos.

Thusharagiri is a best place for trekking enthusiasts and rock climbing. An ideal destination for nature lovers and wild life enthusiasts, this Kerala waterfall is also a great picnic spot as well as a nice romantic retreat. There is trekking from the waterfall to Wayanadu.
You can see the Arch bridge in Thusharagiri, which is biggest in south India.
Malabar River Festival happens in every July. Kayaking competitions are happening in Chalippuzha and Eruvanjippuzha

Water is available in Thusharagiri waterfalls throughout the year. So, we can visit the place any time in a year. During the monsoon
During the monsoon, plenty of water flow creates a great roar. Because of heavy down pour and slippery conditions peak of monsoon, it is advised to be very careful while visiting. From September till December water flow will be normal and you can enjoy in the streams.
